A circuit session at Elevate - Community Fitness involves a series of different exercises, each targeting a specific area of the body, performed in a set order. You’ll move quickly from one exercise to the next, with short rest periods in between, to keep your heart rate up and your muscles working efficiently. The benefits of circuit training include improved cardiovascular fitness, increased strength, better endurance, and weight loss, all while keeping things fun and varied. It’s a full-body workout that can be tailored to all abilities, helping you build strength, boost energy levels, and enhance overall fitness in a supportive, motivating environment.
Our sessions are held in local village halls, making it easy for you to access them without the hassle of travelling to a big gym. Each 1-hour class is pay-as-you-go, meaning you can join whenever it fits your schedule, without being tied down by expensive subscriptions. We believe fitness should be accessible, flexible, and above all, enjoyable.

Our sessions are led by ex-Navy instructors with decades of experience in physical education and fitness coaching. They bring a wealth of knowledge and a personal touch to every class. You won’t hear any shouting or intimidating commands here. Instead, we focus on encouragement, support, and fun – because we know that’s what helps you stay motivated and keep coming back. Every participant gets the attention and encouragement they deserve to succeed.
We provide all the equipment you need for a safe and effective workout. From resistance bands to weights, kettlebells, and more, everything is included. Plus, for your safety and comfort, we provide high-quality protective mats to cushion your body during floor exercises. We also take hygiene seriously – all equipment is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between sessions using antibacterial solutions, so you can feel confident that you’re working out in a safe and clean environment.
All you need is a water bottle and a willingness to give it a go!

Warming up and cooling down are essential parts of any exercise routine, helping to prevent injuries and enhance overall performance.
A proper warm-up gradually prepares your body for the physical activity ahead by increasing your heart rate, blood flow, and muscle temperature. This helps improve flexibility and range of motion, reducing the risk of strains or sprains. Warm-up exercises often involve dynamic stretches (such as leg swings or arm circles) that mimic the movements of the workout you're about to do, priming muscles and joints for action.
After a workout, cooling down is just as important. It involves gradually reducing the intensity of your activity, followed by static stretches, to help your heart rate return to normal and prevent blood from pooling in your muscles. Cooling down promotes flexibility, reduces muscle tightness, and can minimize soreness and reduces the risk of injury after intense exercise.
Both warm-ups and cool-downs improve performance, protect against injuries, and support the body’s recovery processes, ensuring you get the most out of your exercise routine.
